Katrin Stamer completed her legal education at the Universities of Constance, Cologne, and Heidelberg. She holds a Doctor of Laws degree (Dr iur utr) from the University of Heidelberg. Katrin is admitted to the German Bar. Between February 2000 and July 2007, Katrin was an associate/principal associate at the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where she was a member of the employment pensions and benefits practise group at the firm's offices in Hamburg, London and Düsseldorf.

Katrin's areas of practice include all aspects of collective and individual labour law, especially labour law in the context of restructuring, transactions, share option plans and other benefits, pension schemes, collective bargaining agree- ments, contractual matters and contentious labour law.

Katrin is a member of the International Who's Who of Management Labour and Employment Lawyers.

Katrin speaks German and English.
